So Much....

So much has happened. I'm not good at keeping up with this thing and to be honest, not sure if it even gets read, but I'm trying to keep it so I can create a scrapbook with it. But I'm feeling overwhelmed by it so today I am just going to make a list of the things I'd like to catch up on. So here are some things I need to catch up on:

Florida Arrival (and all that it entails...)

Our trip started our pretty typical, our Delta flight was crammed and booked. We took off late and due to storms we had to take an alternate route over New Mexico? However, overall the flight was delightful... As delightful as a flight to the East can be. We arrived in Orlando on time, I turned on my phone and to my chagrin there was a message from my friend Amanda. Amanda was suppose to meet me and Ang in Orlando for our fun adventure. "Flight was delayed, not going to make it. Call me." What a delightful message, my poor friend couldn't make it. I really looked forward to catching up and hanging out, I even brought her Christmas present I didn't send...

Anyhow, Ang and I gathered our bags and our courage, and headed to the car rental. It took more time than necessary, about 50 minutes to rent the car because the guy kept confusing me... Finally we were out, and slipped into our sweet ride, a silver Suzuki Sidekick. .....jerk FLorida drivers...grocery store....hotel disaster....(I will expand on these items later...I am too tired to type any more.)

Tomatoe, tomato...

I love tomatos!!! My garden is really blooming, tomatos and cucumbers arrived, waiting for my peppers....oooh, and my pear tomatoes are doing great!!!

Challenge

Homeownership is a mysterious adventure, you never know what you'll find. This labor day weekends we decided to get some stuff around the house done. We took out the broken microwave hood and I decided to clean the cabinets again and this is what I found on them....eeeeeeew!! The steam cleaner didn't get this last time. Grody!!

Knitting club tommorrow

I'm so excited for my knitting group to start tommorrow. This is something that I want to make, one for me (the owl) and the penguin for Nick. Hooray!!!! Hopefully it's good, my grandma tried to teach me before, but I didn't really get it. Hopefully it's different now!!

Failing the Challenge

I haven't been doing a great job of updating our taking pictures, so today I took a photo of my mutant tomato that is growing in my garden. Also the to to the super cute dress I bought for my moms award ceremony in Nashville for her Employee of the year award.

Yesterday we went to my dad's work bbq for all the men and women working on the MAPP project out at Rio Tinto. There was good food and nixed people, here's a picture of my dad and Daniel. :)

Challenge

My dad is in constant contact with us. Today he sent me a picture from the house in Elko. If you look close, there is a hummingbirds nest on the satellite dish. So beautiful! He's going to try to get better pictures next weekend.

Challenge: Days ____ of 365

I've forgotten to do this for the past few days....so here goes. The 11th was our anniversary of 4 years. I got Daniel these super cute vests because he has been wanting vests. On The 12th we went to gay bingo night with some friends. We almost won, but we tired wroth another person....so daniel had to participate in a shove a banana down your throat contest. We lost. It was this really awesome art portrait too. :( Today Ang and I started training for the half marathon we signed up for. This is what I look like after running for 30 minutes. Wahoo! Our race is Feb. 26th in Orlando, FL. I'm so excited!!

My dog has an aversion to water. It probably stems from the fear of being thrown in by Daniel. However since discovering Tanner Park, I have been luring him into the water with treats. He has been doing so good, I'm so proud of him!

Today I was giving Simba his medicine and dropped it. It bounced and landed in a scary little spider web. I didn't realize I missed that when I was cleaning. I need a maid.

Challenge: Day 16 of 365

Beautiful day in Salt Lake, I can see why people are morning people. Woke up early to help Daniel put on his uniform for drill, then took Simba to Tanner park. He was such a good dog. Them I went top the farmers market and bought too much delicious fruits and veggies. On the way home I saw a unleashed dog attack another dog in a walk with his owner. It scared me do badly, I called animal control. I was immediately grateful that Simba is such a Wonderful dog, but scared that an out of control dog like that exists. I can imagine I feel somewhat like a parent feels watching the downward spiral of the world around them and just praying for the best for their children. Gosh, I don't want to have kids, it is all just too scary, and Simba is only a dog!

Today I was delighted to discover that one of my favorite restaurants, Cafe Rio, has a "drive through." It's actually a curbside to-go order thing, but it made my day after a pretty rough night. It's all about the little things in life.
